These last few weeks it seems like JOsh had made such an effort at communicating withus and it's so exciting! Most of the words that he says only Doug or I know. But the other day when he was playing trucks in his bedroom I heard, "kaboom!" He also says Zoboomafoo, tracks, truck, pretty, binky, and candy (all of those last three words sound the same). He points and says "DAT!" when he wants something, he says block, ball, balloon and bath, car, dog, daddy, phunt, for elephant, "guts" when he wants us to "eat his guts" which is a game we play, hey daddy, ahloove which is I love you, mama, oh, ummmm--when he wants help with something (as in, um, mom, caan you help me?) quack, sit (he commands grandma and grandpa's dogs to sit and now even tell cats to sit sometimes) coat... and I think that's everything.
Sure, I know you probably don't want to know EVERY little word he saying, but he might when he is older and I know I will!
I love hearing his sweet little voice. I love his gentle little personality. He is caring and loving and determined. I couldn't have been blessed with a sweeter little boy!
My favorite little new thing is when Josh runs up and hugs me around the legs.
Lately Josh is also taking care of his beloved toys. For instance, BeBe, his little doll gets tucked in for naps. So do Thomas the Tank Engine, Percy and James. I often find them gently tucked in to blankets asleep in parts of the house. Josh also likes to make sure everyone is fed, the toys, the fish, mom and dad... and that we have all had binkies.
Josh is a little tease. He loves to pretend like he's sleeping and even fake snores and then "wakes up" and giggles. Dancing, playing cars and trucks and swinging are his favorites too, but nothing tops TRAINS!
